Belgian Shepherd PRO 5G antenna

The Parsec Belgian Shepherd PRO is an IP67-rated external antenna built for mobile and fixed wireless deployments. It delivers 5G and CAT18 LTE performance with up to 4x4 MIMO across cellular and Wi-Fi bands. Integrated GPS/GNSS supports location-aware installations.

Upgrade from single or dual-MIMO antennas

Moving to 4x4 MIMO LTE and 4x4 MIMO Wi-Fi increases spatial streams for higher throughput and better link reliability. The jump is worth it when signal quality limits current speeds or when carrier aggregation across low, mid and high bands is required. CBRS and LTE LAA support add capacity in shared and unlicensed spectrum.

Covers 600 MHz to 6 GHz with GPS

Cellular bands span 617-894 MHz, 1710-2700 MHz, 3400-3800 MHz CBRS and 5150-5925 MHz LTE LAA. Wi-Fi covers 2400-2483.5 MHz and 4900-5900 MHz. High isolation and efficiency maintain performance across the range. Narrow width eases mounting. Buyers needing more than four MIMO streams or frequencies below 617 MHz should look elsewhere.

Questions about this item

What mounting hardware does the IP67 antenna need for a vehicle roof?

The antenna uses a single-hole bulkhead mount with a 15 mm thread; you supply the bracket and seal the gasket against the roof panel.

Which step do installers most often skip when fitting the 4x4 MIMO leads?

They forget to torque the four SMA connectors to the same spec, causing mismatched isolation on the 617-894 MHz and 3400-3800 MHz bands.

What part of the Belgian Shepherd PRO will need replacement first in a mobile fleet?

The external GPS/GNSS patch element degrades faster than the LTE or WiFi arrays; plan to swap the whole radome when satellite lock time increases.
