Compact workstation for multi-threaded workloads

The Partaker B17 is a fan-cooled nettop built around a 16-core Intel Xeon D-1581 processor and an NVIDIA Quadro K620 graphics card. It ships with Windows 11 Pro and 32 GB of DDR4 memory, targeting professionals who need quiet, always-on compute density.

Xeon D-1581 with 16 cores and 32 threads

The decisive specification is the CPU: a 1.80 GHz Xeon D-1581 providing 24 MB cache and 32 simultaneous threads. This core count suits parallel tasks such as virtualization, compilation or light render farms where single-thread frequency is secondary.

32 GB DDR4 expandable to 128 GB

Two SODIMM slots hold the factory 32 GB at 2133 MT/s and accept up to 128 GB total. Three M.2 2280 bays — one SATA, one NVME and one PCIe — plus a 2.5-inch bay give ample headroom for OS, scratch and bulk data before capacity runs out.

Questions about this item

How does the 1.80 GHz Xeon D-1581 with 16 cores and 32 threads behave under sustained multi-threaded workloads in this chassis?

The 65 W TDP and smart silent fan keep the processor at its base 1.80 GHz across all 16 cores without thermal throttling, while fan noise stays below 25 decibels when the unit is placed vertically.

What display resolutions and refresh rates can the DP 1.4 and DVI-D outputs actually drive?

DP 1.4 supports up to 4K output, DVI-D handles lower resolutions, and the specification lists a maximum of 8K output across the dual-display configuration.

Which drive form-factors fit the three internal storage slots?

One M.2 2280 SATA SSD, one M.2 2280 NVME SSD, and one 2.5 inch SATA SSD or HDD can be installed simultaneously.
