1U Rack Firewall with C3758 CPU

The Partaker R6 is a 1U rack-mountable firewall appliance built around an Intel Atom C3758 processor with AES-NI acceleration. It includes 8 GB of DDR4 RAM and a 256 GB NVME SSD, plus an ATX power supply. The platform supports pfSense, OPNsense, RouterOS, FreeBSD, Linux and Windows for flexible network security deployment.

Verify Rack Space and Uplink Needs

Confirm that your cabinet provides a standard 19-inch 1U slot and that the 484 x 252 x 48 mm chassis fits your depth allowance. The unit offers six RJ-45 ports at 10/100/1000 Mbps and four SFP+ cages driven by an Intel X553 controller for 10 GbE fibre uplinks. Ensure your switch side has compatible SFP+ modules and cabling before ordering.

Replaces Standalone Router Boxes

This appliance consolidates a separate router, VPN gateway and hardware-accelerated firewall into one silent 25 W device. The jump is worthwhile when you need line-rate 10 GbE uplinks, AES-NI offload for encrypted tunnels, and expansion via Mini PCIe, M.2 3052 or a PCIe x8 slot for future Wi-Fi, 4G or additional NICs.

Questions about this item

What comes in the box and what must I purchase separately?

The box contains the Partaker R6 appliance, rack-mount ears, a power cord and a warranty card. RAM, SSD, SFP+ transceivers and any Mini PCIe or M.2 expansion cards are not included.

Should I choose the 8 GB RAM / 256 GB SSD model or upgrade to the 64 GB maximum?

The unit ships with 8 GB DDR4 and a 256 GB NVME SSD installed. Two SODIMM slots support up to 64 GB total, and a 2.5-inch SATA bay plus an M.2 2280 slot are available for additional storage.

How does the 2.20 GHz Atom C3758 perform when routing 10 GbE traffic through OPNsense?

The eight-core C3758 with AES-NI acceleration handles line-rate 1 GbE on all six RJ-45 ports and can push multi-gigabit throughput on the four X553 SFP+ ports, limited by firewall rule complexity and VPN encryption load.
