Poly Sheeting for Yard & Outdoor Use

This 6 mil black poly sheeting measures 8 feet by 100 feet and is designed for general yard and outdoor tasks. It provides a durable barrier for ground cover, temporary protection or containment during landscaping projects. The material is supplied as a single roll in a manufacturer case.

Suited for landscapers

Buyers who need a lighter gauge film or a smaller roll should look at other options. Those requiring UV-stabilised sheeting for long-term outdoor exposure will need a product rated for that purpose. It is not intended for food-contact or medical-grade applications.

Verify roll dimensions and gauge match the job

Confirm the 8-foot width and 100-foot length fit the area you plan to cover before ordering. Check that 6 mil thickness meets the tear-resistance and durability requirements of your specific project. Ensure you have space to store or manoeuvre the full roll on site.

Questions about this item

What framing or fastening supplies are needed to secure the 8 ft wide sheeting?

The roll is 8 ft wide by 100 ft long, so plan for staples, tape, or batten strips spaced along the full perimeter and any seams.

Can the 6 mil black poly be layered over existing clear greenhouse film without trapping moisture?

The opaque black surface blocks light, so condensation patterns will differ from clear film; overlap seams and ventilate to manage humidity.

How can I verify the sheeting arrives as a single continuous 100 ft roll?

Unroll completely and measure the length; a single piece should extend the full 100 ft without factory splices.
