Product Identity

Partners Brand P4042K Mailing Tubes are rigid kraft cylinders measuring 4 inches by 42 inches, supplied in a pack of 15 with end caps included. They are designed for shipping or storing rolled documents, posters, blueprints and similar flat items that must stay crease-free.

Who These Suit

Ideal for offices, warehouses, architects or artists who regularly send large-format prints and need a low-cost, ready-to-use tube that protects edges during transit. Not suitable for buyers who require adjustable lengths, waterproof liners, heavy-duty wall thickness or smaller diameter options for narrow parcels.

Deciding Specification

The 4-inch internal diameter paired with a 42-inch length determines whether rolled sheets fit without folding; confirm your longest document edge is shorter than 42 inches and that the rolled bundle slides into a 4-inch bore.

Questions about this item

How much heat does the 42-inch kraft tube generate when stored all day?

The kraft mailing tube is a passive cardboard cylinder with plastic end caps, so it produces no heat and requires no power during storage.

What additional items are needed to seal the 4-inch diameter tubes before shipping?

Each of the 15 tubes already includes matching plastic end caps, so no extra caps, tape or tools are required to close them.

Will the 4042K tubes fit on the same rack as my older 3-inch mailing tubes?

The 4-inch outside diameter is larger than 3-inch tubes, so they need wider rack slots or a separate shelf to sit securely.
