Flat poly bags for shipping and packing

Partners Brand PB243 flat poly bags measure 16 by 16 inches with a 1.5 mil thickness and come in a 500-count pack. They are clear for easy content identification. The bags suit businesses, warehouses and home shippers who need lightweight, see-through packaging for non-fragile items.

Simple opening and manual sealing

Each bag opens along the 16-inch side and can be closed with tape, a heat sealer or a twist tie. The thin 1.5 mil film tears if overstretched or snagged on sharp edges, so avoid forcing bulky or pointed objects inside. No special tools are required for basic use.

Limited puncture and moisture resistance

The 1.5 mil polyethylene provides a basic dust and splash barrier but is not rated for heavy rain, long-term outdoor exposure or vacuum sealing. Sharp corners can pierce the material and the bags carry a California Proposition 65 warning for chemicals linked to cancer and reproductive harm. They are not designed for food contact or sterile applications.

Questions about this item

How can I confirm the bags meet the 1.5 mil thickness after opening the pack?

Use a micrometer or thickness gauge on several bags from the 500-count pack; each should read at or very close to 1.5 mil if the product matches the specification.

What comes in the package and do I need anything else to start using them?

The box contains 500 clear flat poly bags measuring 16 inches by 16 inches; no additional items are required to begin packing or shipping.

Which version of the PB243 should I choose for general shipping?

The PB243 is offered in a single configuration — 16 by 16 inches, 1.5 mil thick, clear, in a 500-count pack — so there are no alternative versions to select.
