Clear flat poly bags, 1.5 mil

These clear flat poly bags measure 5 x 6 inches and come in a pack of 1000. They are suited for small-parts packing, mailroom sorting and general shipping preparation. The 1.5 mil thickness provides a light barrier for non-sharp items. Buyers needing heavier puncture resistance should choose a thicker gauge.

Capacity and headroom for light contents

Each bag holds small hardware, jewellery, fasteners or printed matter up to the 5 x 6 inch envelope. The 1.5 mil film resists dust and moisture but will tear under sharp edges or heavy loads. A 1000-count pack supports high-volume fulfilment without frequent reordering. Operations shipping bulky or heavy goods will exceed the bag's structural limit quickly.

Upgrade from thinner film or smaller counts

Users moving up from 1 mil bags gain extra tear resistance for the same footprint. Switching from 100-count boxes to this 1000 pack reduces per-unit cost and restock frequency. The step is worthwhile when daily pack-outs exceed a few hundred units. Shippers requiring tamper-evident seals or static shielding must select a different product line.

Questions about this item

Will the 5 x 6 inch bags fit the same boxes I already use for small parts?

The bags measure 5 by 6 inches, so they slide into standard small-parts cartons and padded mailers without forcing the seams.

How can I confirm the 1.5 mil thickness is right for my packing line?

Hold a single bag up to light; the film should feel like a typical sandwich bag and resist a firm thumb press without puncturing.

Does the pack of 1000 include any closure ties or labels?

The box contains only the 1000 clear poly bags; twist ties, tape or printed labels must be purchased separately.
