Partners Brand PT3404 Poly Tubing

This 34-inch wide poly tubing roll spans 1075 feet and measures 4 mil thick. It serves shipping departments that need continuous clear film for custom-length bags. The clear material lets staff inspect contents without opening the package. A single roll supports high-volume packing stations.

Practical limits of 4 mil polyethylene

The 4 mil thickness resists punctures during normal handling but can tear under sharp edges or excessive weight. Heat sealing requires calibrated equipment to avoid burn-through on the thin film. Outdoor storage degrades the plastic over time due to UV exposure. The 34-inch width restricts use to items narrower than the lay-flat dimension.

Installation notes for continuous tubing

Users cut desired lengths with a hand cutter or automated dispenser before sealing both ends. Misaligned cuts waste material and create uneven seals. Static buildup on the clear film attracts dust in dry environments. Dull blades cause jagged edges that compromise seal integrity.

Questions about this item

Should I choose the 34-inch width or a narrower roll for my packaging line?

The 34-inch width suits larger items or high-volume bundling; narrower rolls are better for smaller products to reduce waste.

What does the 4 mil thickness mean for puncture resistance during shipping?

At 4 mil the tubing resists tears from sharp edges and moderate impact, making it reliable for industrial parts and heavy mailers.

How does the flat poly tubing format affect sealing speed on an impulse sealer?

Lay-flat tubing feeds straight into most impulse sealers, letting you cut custom-length bags continuously without pre-made pouch changes.
