Product Identity

Partners Brand Serrated Open Snap On Polyester Strapping Seals are 5/8 inch metal closures sold in a 1000 piece pack for securing poly strapping on pallets and bundles. They suit warehouse teams, shippers and packers who need a reliable mechanical joint for horizontal or vertical banding applications.

Fit and Limits

The seals work with 5/8 inch polyester strapping and standard hand or pneumatic tensioners that accept open snap on serrated seals. They do not suit steel strapping, wider or narrower poly banding, closed seal designs or push type tools that require a different seal profile.

Deciding Specification

The critical specification is the 58 inch seal width which must match the strapping width exactly for the serrated grip to develop full joint strength. A mismatched width will cause the seal to slip or the strap to tear under load.

Questions about this item

How do I snap the 5/8 in. serrated open seal onto the polyester strap without it sliding off?

Slide the open side over the tensioned strap, position the serrated teeth against the polyester, then close the seal fully with the sealer tool so the teeth bite into the material.

Will the serrated teeth on these 5/8 in. seals wear out and need replacement after repeated strapping jobs?

The serrated teeth are single-use; each seal is crimped once and discarded, so the 1000-pack provides 1000 individual sealing operations.

At what strap tension do the 5/8 in. serrated open seals start to deform or slip during continuous heavy loads?

The seals are rated for standard polyester strapping tension; exceeding the strap manufacturer's recommended tension can cause seal deformation first.
