Protective Layer Pads

Partners Brand SP1016 corrugated layer pads measure 10 7/8 by 16 7/8 inches and come in a Kraft pack of 100. They are designed for shippers and mailrooms that need a lightweight separator between stacked cartons or pallet layers. The pads add cushioning without significant bulk, helping to prevent surface damage during transit.

Thermals Noise and Power

As passive paper-based sheets, these pads generate no heat, produce no noise and draw no power in normal use. They simply sit between product layers to distribute weight and absorb minor impacts. Performance is unaffected by temperature or humidity within typical warehouse conditions.

Pack Quantity Decides Suitability

The box contains exactly 100 pads, so the purchase is right only if your workflow consumes that volume before storage space becomes an issue. Operations needing fewer sheets will face excess inventory, while high-volume lines may require frequent re-orders.

Questions about this item

How do I place the 10 7/8 x 16 7/8 Kraft layer pads inside a carton so they actually protect the stack?

Lay each pad flat between product layers with the corrugated flutes running perpendicular to the longest box dimension; the common mistake is aligning flutes parallel to the side walls, which lets the pad buckle under load.

When will the Kraft corrugated pads need to be replaced during repeated shipping cycles?

Replace a pad once the flutes show permanent compression, surface tears, or moisture staining — typically after several heavy-load trips, though lighter loads extend usable life.

What fails first on the 100-pack of layer pads when pallets are double-stacked for long hauls?

The flute structure collapses first, reducing cushion height and letting vibration transfer to the product; once the corrugation stays crushed the pad no longer distributes the stack weight.
