Partners Brand THT109 Thermal Ribbon

This thermal transfer ribbon suits businesses printing high-volume barcode labels and shipping tags. Each roll measures 4.02 inches wide by 984 feet long and comes in a pack of 24. It is designed for compatible Zebra thermal printers used in warehouse, retail and logistics environments.

Wax formulation runs cool with low printhead wear

The wax-based ink transfers cleanly at standard print speeds without excessive heat buildup. Low friction reduces printhead abrasion during long runs, keeping maintenance intervals predictable. Consistent ribbon tension prevents wrinkling or snapping across the full 984-foot length.

Replaces generic wax ribbons that smudge or break

Operations switching from lower-grade wax stock see fewer reprints caused by faded or smeared barcodes. The jump is worthwhile when label legibility directly affects scanning rates and shipping accuracy. Buyers needing resin durability for chemical exposure or outdoor use should select a different ribbon class.

Questions about this item

How is the 4.02" wide ribbon loaded into a Zebra printer without misalignment?

Open the print head, place the roll on the supply spindle with the black coating facing outward, thread the leader under the print head and onto the take-up spindle, then close and latch the head before calibrating.

When does the 984-foot roll need replacement during normal printing?

Replace the roll when the low-ribbon sensor triggers or print density fades; each roll yields roughly 984 feet of transfer before the coating is exhausted.

What limits continuous output when running multiple 984-foot rolls back-to-back?

The print head temperature rises during long runs; allow cool-down periods between rolls to avoid thermal throttling or premature head wear.
