Three-way brass turn-key socket

The Pass & Seymour 7090 is a medium-base lamp holder with a 1.4-inch electrolier diameter and a brass finish. It accepts incandescent bulbs up to 250 watts at 250 volts and provides low, medium and high settings via a turn-key switch. The metal shell construction is UL listed and supplied in a blister pack.

Practical limits of the three-way interface

The three-way function only works with compatible incandescent bulbs that have two filaments; standard single-filament or LED lamps will not step through low, medium and high levels. The 250-watt maximum rating restricts use to bulbs at or below that power draw. The turn-key mechanism requires manual operation and does not support dimmer circuits or smart-home automation.
