What this toner replaces

This PCI cartridge is an aftermarket alternative for the Brother TN450 black toner. It fits a range of Brother laser printers including the HL-2230, HL-2240, HL-2240D and HL-2270DW as well as the MFC-7360N, MFC-7460DN and MFC-7860DW multifunction models. Buyers who need colour output or a different page yield will need another product.

Page yield under continuous printing

The cartridge is rated for 2600 pages at standard coverage. In a busy office that prints long runs day after day the toner maintains consistent density without the fade that can appear on lower-capacity units. Shops that only print a few pages a week will not see the full benefit of this yield.

Heat, noise and power in daily use

Laser printing itself generates the heat and noise; the cartridge adds no moving parts or extra power draw beyond the printer’s normal operation. Because it is a drop-in replacement the machine’s existing cooling and acoustics stay unchanged. Users who require silent or fanless printing must choose a different technology.
