Product identity

Peerless Chain 7012032 is a zinc-plated carbon steel double-loop chain supplied in a 100 ft length with a 255 lb working load limit. It is intended for general farm, ranch and outdoor tasks such as swing sets, animal restraints and hammocks. Builders who need lifting-rated chain or a higher working load should select a different product.

Build quality and daily use

The weldless twin-loop construction provides a smooth surface that resists snagging on clothing or animal harnesses while remaining flexible enough to handle by hand. Zinc plating adds a layer of corrosion resistance for extended outdoor exposure. The chain is not rated for overhead lifting, so it must not be used for hoisting loads or critical safety suspensions.

Deciding specification

The 255 lb working load limit is the single figure that determines whether this chain suits the intended job; any application that exceeds this value requires a stronger chain.
