Hybrid shell protection

The Pelican Aegis 28" wheeled hybrid duffel combines a moulded EVA front shield with 500D Cordura fabric for camera gear protection. It is built for travellers who need hard-case impact resistance without sacrificing soft-bag flexibility. The Pelican Shield construction absorbs knocks during transit while the weather-resistant fabric handles outdoor conditions. Medium Indigo Blue colourway aids quick identification on carousels.

28-inch check-in dimensions

Exterior measurements are 15.5 by 14.2 by 28 inches and the bag weighs 9.35 lbs. These figures determine whether the case meets your airline’s checked-baggage limits and fits your packing volume. The internal quick-access zipper compartment keeps frequently used items reachable without opening the main cavity. ModPak accessories are compatible but sold separately for custom organisation.

Wheeled mobility and handling

Oversized wheels and a multi-stage extension handle provide smooth rolling across airport terminals and rougher ground. Multiple easy-grab handles and compression straps allow secure lifting and load stabilisation. The Pelican Patch ID tag system simplifies labelling. Buyers who need a dedicated laptop sleeve or internal divider set should verify ModPak compatibility before purchase.

Questions about this item

What does the 28 inch size mean for airline check-in?

The 28 inch exterior height matches the maximum linear dimension many airlines allow for standard checked luggage, so it fits within typical size limits.

How does the 500D Cordura fabric perform against abrasion and weather?

The 500 denier Cordura shell resists tearing and scuffs while the durable water-repellent finish sheds rain and splashes during transit.

Will the 15.5 by 14.2 inch footprint fit in a typical car boot?

At 15.5 inches long and 14.2 inches wide the bag occupies roughly the same floor space as a medium suitcase, leaving room for other items in most boots.
