Compact hard case

The Pelican 1010-027-100 is a yellow hard case built for protecting small portable devices. Its watertight o-ring seal and crushproof shell shield contents from dust, splashes and impact during outdoor activity. A moulded rubber liner adds a second layer of cushioning. The stainless-steel latch opens quickly while staying secure under vibration.

Rugged carry, not submersion

The case suits hikers, cyclists and workers who need a lightweight box that clips to a pack or belt via the integrated carabiner. It is rated water-resistant only, so swimmers, divers or anyone planning full immersion should choose a submersible-rated enclosure instead. Buyers needing space for a smartphone or larger gadget will find the interior too small.

11.1 x 7.3 x 4.3 cm interior

The usable cavity measures 11.1 x 7.3 x 4.3 cm and weighs 0.19 kg with foam installed. That volume fits compact MP3 or MP4 players, earbuds, keys or a small power bank. Verify your device dimensions against these figures before ordering.

Questions about this item

What comes inside the Pelican 1010-027-100 micro case and what must I buy separately?

The case includes a rubber liner that doubles as an o-ring seal, stainless steel hardware and an attached carabiner. No foam is included; the listed weight with foam of .41 lbs (.19 kg) refers to an optional accessory you would need to purchase separately.

Which version of the 1010-027-100 should I choose for my MP4 player?

This model is the yellow variant with a clear lid. The specifications also note it is available in clear with a colour liner or solid, but only the yellow 1010-027-100 is offered here.

What do the interior dimensions of 4.37 x 2.87 x 1.68 inches mean for fitting my device?

The usable space measures 11.1 x 7.3 x 4.3 cm, so any MP4 player or accessory smaller than 4.37 inches long, 2.87 inches wide and 1.68 inches deep will fit inside with the lid closed.
