Pelican iM2400 Storm Case

The Pelican Storm iM2400 is a watertight, padlockable protective case engineered in the USA. It features a multilayer cubed foam interior that can be customised to fit specific equipment. The case meets airline carry-on regulations and fits under seats or in overhead compartments. It is designed for transporting sensitive, expensive, or vital gear.

Who this suits

This case suits photographers, drone operators, and technicians who need to carry delicate instruments as cabin luggage. The customisable foam secures irregular items like cameras, lenses, or electronics against shock. Buyers needing a larger checked-baggage case or a soft-sided bag for bulky clothing should look elsewhere.

Interior dimensions

The usable interior space measures 18 by 13 by 6.7 inches. This specific volume determines exactly how much equipment fits inside the cubed foam. Verify your largest item against these three figures before purchasing.

Questions about this item

How much heat builds up inside the iM2400 when it sits in direct sun all day?

The watertight seal and pressure-equalisation valve limit air exchange, so internal temperature will rise with ambient heat; store in shade when possible.

What must I already own to make the cubed foam fit my specific gear?

You only need the equipment you want to protect; the pre-scored foam cubes are plucked out by hand to create custom cavities.

Will the iM2400 fit in the same overhead bin as my older carry-on roller?

At 18 × 13 × 6.7 in it meets most airline carry-on limits and slides under seats, leaving room for a second bag above.
