Interior file folders

Pendaflex Essentials 421013RED folders are sold as 100 per box and fit inside hanging folders without covering the hanging tabs. Each folder uses 11 pt stock with a 3/4 inch expansion and acid free paper. The red color matches Pendaflex hanging folders for a coordinated system.

Suits subdividing records

These folders suit anyone subdividing papers within a hanging folder or moving documents between file and desk. The two tone reversible design helps prevent misfiles. Buyers who need standalone filing without a hanging folder system should look at a different format.

1/3 cut top tabs

The tab cut is 1/3 with assorted positions along the top edge. Dimensions are 11 3/4 inches wide by 9 3/16 inches high, making them slightly shorter than a standard file. This single specification decides whether the folders fit your existing hanging folder setup.

Questions about this item

What are the exact width and height so I know they will fit my hanging folders?

Each folder measures 11 3/4 inches wide by 9 3/16 inches high, making them slightly shorter than standard files so the hanging-folder tabs remain visible.

How do I insert these folders into a hanging folder without covering its tab?

Slide the interior folder straight down into the hanging folder; the shorter 9 3/16 inch height keeps the hanging-folder tab exposed, and the 1/3-cut top tab on the interior folder aligns with the front edge for quick reading.

When will the 11 pt. stock or the tab wear out and need replacing?

The 11 pt. stock resists everyday handling, and the acid-free, SFI-certified material prevents brittleness; replace individual folders only when a tab tears or the expansion gusset no longer holds papers securely.
