Product Identity

The Pentel AL15ASW2 Champ Mechanical Pencil is a 0.5mm writing instrument sold in a 24-count value pack. It suits students, office workers and anyone needing a reliable supply of affordable mechanical pencils for everyday writing tasks. Black barrels give a uniform professional look.

Practical Limits

The fixed 0.5mm lead size suits general note-taking and standard writing but cannot produce broader strokes for shading or finer lines for detailed technical drawing. The pencil is not refillable with ink cartridges and the latex-free grip, while comfortable, does not offer adjustable ergonomics for specialised needs.

Deciding Specification

The pack contains 24 pencils, making it a bulk purchase intended for high-volume use or shared environments. Buyers who only need one or two pencils will find the quantity excessive. The 0.5mm lead diameter is the single spec that determines line width and lead compatibility.

Questions about this item

Should I choose the 0.5mm size or the 0.25mm tip mentioned in the description?

The Champ mechanical pencil uses a 0.5mm lead for standard writing and drafting. The 0.25mm tip belongs to the separate Slicci gel pen also described.

How does the 0.5mm lead perform for daily writing tasks?

The 0.5mm lead produces a fine line suited to general note-taking, forms and detailed work. The extra-soft ribbed grip reduces fatigue during long sessions.

What does the 24-pack format mean for refills and supply?

The pack contains 24 complete black-barrel pencils. Each pencil is non-refillable, so the pack replaces the entire unit when the lead is exhausted.
