Product identity

The Pentel AL27TC Icy mechanical pencil delivers 0.70 mm lines through a transparent blue barrel, suited to students and professionals who prefer a visible ink supply. Its slim profile fits standard pencil cases and clips securely to notebooks.

Sustained writing behaviour

The fixed 0.70 mm tip maintains consistent line width during long note-taking sessions without the variability of sharpened wood pencils. Advance mechanism feeds lead smoothly so pressure stays even across extended use.

Build and daily use

Transparent blue plastic shows remaining lead at a glance, eliminating guesswork before exams or meetings. Pocket clip holds firm on thick binders while the lightweight body reduces hand fatigue during day-long writing tasks.

Questions about this item

Does the 0.70 mm lead mechanism make any noise during long writing sessions?

The mechanical advance is quiet in normal use; only a faint click is heard when the lead is extended.

What refills does the AL27TC need before I can start writing?

It ships with 0.70 mm lead and an eraser installed, so no extra purchase is required.

Will the transparent blue barrel match older Pentel pencil grips I already own?

The barrel is a smooth transparent blue plastic without a separate grip section, so older slip-on grips will not fit.
