How do I refill the pen when the ink runs out?

Unscrew the barrel, remove the empty BKL10 refill, insert a new BKL10 refill, then screw the barrel back on — the step people miss is seating the refill firmly until it clicks.

Will the stainless-steel tip wear out and need replacing?

The tip is durable stainless steel and is not replaced separately; when the ink is exhausted you simply install a fresh BKL10 refill which includes a new tip.
