Liquid gel ink and fast drying

The Pentel BL57C EnerGel pen uses high-performance liquid gel ink that combines the smooth flow of liquid ink with the quick-drying properties of gel. A latex-free grip provides maximum comfort and control during extended writing sessions. The 0.7 mm metal tip produces consistent medium lines in blue ink.

Suited for quick-drying needs.

This pen suits students, professionals and left-handed writers who need smear-free notes and documents. The fast-drying ink prevents smudges on glossy paper or rapid note-taking. Buyers who want a broader 1.0 mm bold line should look at a different tip size.

0.7 mm metal tip defines line width

The 0.7 mm metal tip is the single specification that determines the line weight. It writes a medium stroke suitable for general handwriting, forms and annotations. Select this model only when a medium line is required.

Questions about this item

Does the 0.7 mm metal tip need a specific paper weight to prevent bleed?

The fast-drying liquid gel ink resists smearing on standard office paper; the quick-set formula limits feathering on typical sheets.

Can I mix this blue 0.7 mm pen with 1.0 mm bold refills in the same barrel?

The BL57C is a single-unit stick pen with a fixed 0.7 mm tip; refill swaps or tip exchanges are not supported.

How do I verify the ink is performing as intended after first use?

A clean, medium-width blue line with no smears — even when brushed immediately — confirms the fast-dry gel is working.
