Pentel EnerGel RTX Retractable Pen

The Pentel BL77PW-A EnerGel RTX is a retractable roller ball pen built for everyday writing. Its stainless steel tip delivers a super-smooth blend of liquid and gel inks that glide across paper. The vivid, acid-free formula dries quickly without smearing, making it ideal for left-handed writers. A latex-free grip provides comfort and control during extended use.

Upgrade from standard ballpoints

This pen replaces basic ballpoints that skip, blot or force heavy pressure. The jump is worth it when you need quick-drying ink that stays sharp on documents and notes. The 0.7mm medium metal tip produces a consistent line without feathering. Acid-free ink keeps records safe for long-term storage.

Simple refillable design

The tip retracts with a click to protect pockets and bags from ink marks. Refilling uses Pentel LRN7 needle or LR7 metal tip cartridges, which slide in without tools. A common issue is mixing refill types; only the specified cartridges fit the barrel. The stainless steel accents resist wear through repeated cycles.

Questions about this item

What size refill cartridge fits the 0.7 mm tip?

The pen refills with Pentel LRN7 needle-tip and LR7 metal-tip cartridges designed for the 0.7 mm medium point.

How do I extend or retract the tip without jamming the mechanism?

Press the clip-end plunger straight down until it clicks; pushing at an angle can bind the internal spring.

When the ink runs dry, which part do I replace?

Unscrew the barrel and swap in a fresh LRN7 or LR7 refill; the stainless-steel tip and latex-free grip stay on the pen.
