Pentel EnerGel RTX 0.3mm Pen

The Pentel EnerGel RTX is a retractable liquid-gel pen with a 0.3mm tip that produces crisp, extra-fine lines in blue ink. It is suited for students, professionals and anyone who wants a no-smear writing tool for daily tasks at home, office or school. The pen is sold as a single unit.

Sustained writing comfort and smear resistance

The quick-drying formula prevents smears, smudges and globs during long sessions, so left-handed and right-handed writers both get clean, consistent results. A latex-free Comfort Zone grip improves control and reduces fatigue when writing for extended periods. High-performance ink technology blends liquid and gel properties for a super-smooth flow that stays reliable over time.

Upgrading from standard ballpoints or broader tips

Writers who struggle with smearing ink or hand fatigue on long documents will notice an immediate improvement in clarity and comfort. The extra-fine .3 tip replaces broader points when detailed notes, small handwriting or precise annotations are required. Buyers who need multiple colours or a multi-pack should look elsewhere, as this listing provides only one blue pen.

Questions about this item

Does the pen get hot or noisy after writing all day?

No, the EnerGel RTX is a manual writing instrument with no motor, fan or power source, so it produces no heat or noise during extended use.

What refill does the BLN73C need when the ink runs out?

It uses standard EnerGel 0.3 mm needle-point refills, which are sold separately and drop straight into the barrel.

Will the .3 mm tip feel scratchy on the cheap copy paper I already stock?

The liquid-gel ink flows smoothly even on low-grade paper, and the Comfort Zone grip reduces hand pressure so the fine tip glides without catching.
