Refill for EnerGel RTX pens

This Pentel LR7A refill supplies black gel ink for EnerGel RTX and Deluxe RTX pens. The medium metal tip delivers a consistent line for everyday writing tasks. Acid-free, archival-safe ink resists fading over time. It is sold as a new, single refill unit.

Suited for current EnerGel RTX owners

Writers who already use an EnerGel RTX or Deluxe RTX pen can restore smooth, quick-drying performance with this refill. Left-handed users benefit from the smear-resistant formula. Buyers who need a different ink colour or a finer or broader tip width should look at other options. Anyone without a compatible Pentel pen cannot use this refill.

Medium metal tip width

The refill features a medium-point metal tip that determines line thickness and writing feel. This tip size is fixed and cannot be changed on the refill itself. Confirm that a medium line matches your preference before purchasing. No other tip sizes are included with this item.

Questions about this item

Will the LR7A refill fit my older Pentel EnerGel RTX pen?

Yes, the LR7A is designed for use with Pentel EnerGel retractable pens including the RTX models, so it will fit your existing RTX barrel.

How can I confirm the LR7A refill is flowing correctly after I install it?

The super-smooth gel ink dries quickly without smearing; if lines appear vivid and consistent with no skipping, the refill is working as intended.

Does the LR7A pack include a new pen barrel or only the ink cartridge?

The LR7A is a refill cartridge only — black, medium point, metal tip — so you will need to supply your own compatible EnerGel pen barrel.
