36-colour fine-point pen set

This Pentel Arts set supplies 36 water-based ink pens in assorted colours for everyday drawing, colouring and writing. The durable acrylic fibre tip produces both thin and bold lines depending on pressure. A well-balanced barrel gives comfortable control during extended use. Each pen is certified AP non-toxic.

Water-based ink and fibre tip limits

Water-based ink can bleed on thin or low-absorbency paper, so testing on your chosen surface is advisable. The fibre tip will wear faster on rough textures than on smooth paper. Snap-fit airtight caps prevent the tip from drying out when stored correctly. Colours are brilliant but not lightfast for archival display.

Check paper and storage habits before ordering

Verify that your paper stock handles water-based ink without feathering or show-through. Ensure caps are replaced firmly after each use to maintain the airtight seal. The set contains only the 36 pens; no carrying case or organiser is included. Buyers needing solvent-based permanence or refillable barrels should consider other product types.

Questions about this item

What does the 36 count mean for a single purchase?

You receive 36 individual pens in one set, each with a different color, so you do not need to buy multiple packs.

How does water-based ink behave on paper compared to alcohol-based ink?

Water-based ink absorbs into the paper fibers, giving less bleed-through and a softer feel, while the durable fiber tip still allows both thin and bold lines.

What does the AP nontoxic certification cover for these pens?

The AP seal confirms the ink formulation has been evaluated by a toxicologist and contains no materials in sufficient quantities to be injurious to humans.
