Maritime 5G antenna with GPS

The Peplink Maritime 40G is an IP68-rated omnidirectional antenna built for marine vessels that need reliable LTE and 5G connectivity. It combines four cellular elements and a dedicated GPS receiver in a single white housing. The unit mounts on standard maritime 14 TPI threads or the included L-shape bracket for non-standard installations.

Replaces separate cellular and GPS antennas

Consolidating four cellular channels plus GPS into one radome reduces cable runs and deck clutter on boats that previously used multiple single-function antennas. The jump is worth it when a vessel needs 4x4 MIMO performance across 410-6000MHz bands and simultaneous GPS tracking without adding extra mounting hardware.

Limited by SMA connectors and cable length

The antenna terminates in SMA connectors, so Wi-Fi use requires an SMA to RP-SMA adapter not included in the package. The supplied 2m cable fixes the maximum distance to the router unless extension cables are sourced separately. Wind survivability is rated to 160km/h and salt-spray resistance meets MIL-STD 810F and ASTM B117 standards.

Questions about this item

What thread size does the antenna use for a standard maritime mount?

It uses a 1 inch 14 TPI thread for standard maritime deck mounting.

How do you attach the antenna to a pole, and what mistake should you avoid?

Use the included L-shape mount set for poles 25 to 50 mm in diameter; the common error is forgetting to tighten both clamp bolts evenly.

When will the SMA connectors or cables need replacement in a salt-water environment?

The IP68 housing and MIL-STD 810F salt-spray rating protect the fixed SMA ports; only the external cables typically degrade and need swapping after several seasons.
