The Perle C-100-S1Sc40D converts a 100Base-TX copper link to a single-mode 100Base-BX fibre connection using one SC strand. It supports 1550 nm transmit and 1310 nm receive wavelengths for bidirectional traffic. Network engineers use it to extend Fast Ethernet segments beyond copper distance limits.

Sustained Link Behaviour

The module maintains a continuous 100 Mbps full-duplex stream over fibre up to 40 km or 24.9 miles without signal regeneration. Copper side reaches 100 m or 328 ft at wire speed. No buffering or rate-shaping is applied, so latency stays deterministic under constant load.
