Industrial Gigabit Media Converter
The Perle SR-1000-ST05-XT converts 1000Base-T copper signals to 1000BASE-SX multimode fibre for extended network reach. It is built for harsh environments with an operating range of -40°C to +75°C. A DIN rail enclosure and terminal block power connector suit industrial cabinets and control panels.
Distance and frame capacity
Copper links run up to 100 m while the 850 nm ST fibre port reaches 550 m. The converter handles jumbo frames up to 10,240 bytes for high-throughput applications. It does not support single-mode fibre or longer wavelength optics beyond the stated 550 m multimode limit.
Mounting and power integration
The DIN rail case snaps onto standard rails without extra brackets or tools. A Combicon terminal block accepts an external DC source directly, removing the need for a separate wall adapter. No management software or configuration utility is bundled with the unit.

Questions about this item
Will the SR-1000-ST05-XT fit on the same DIN rail as my existing industrial switches?
Yes, it uses a DIN rail case so it mounts alongside other DIN-rail equipment in the same cabinet.
How can I verify the link is operating at the full 1000 Mbps after installation?
Check the converter's status LEDs; a solid link light on both the RJ-45 and ST ports confirms a negotiated gigabit connection.
Does the package include the Combicon terminal block for the external power source or must I order it separately?
The terminal block (Combicon) power connector is built into the unit, so no separate power connector purchase is required.
