The Perle C-110-S2LC40 is a media and rate converter module designed for network infrastructure. It bridges copper and fibre segments in enterprise or campus environments. Installers use it to extend Ethernet reach beyond standard twisted-pair limits.

100Base-EX single-mode reach 40 km

The module converts 10/100Base-TX signals at 100 m over RJ-45 to 100Base-EX 1310 nm single-mode fibre up to 40 km. Maximum frame size is 2048 bytes, so jumbo frames beyond that length are not supported. Bandwidth tops out at 100 Mbps full duplex.

LC connector single-mode fibre mount

An LC duplex receptacle accepts standard single-mode patch cords for the 40 km link. The RJ-45 port handles the copper side with auto-negotiation for 10 or 100 Mbps. No PoE pass-through or management features are included.
