Gigabit Media Converter Module

The CM-1000-S2LC10 converts 1000BASE-T copper links to 1000BASE-LX/LH single-mode fibre at 1310 nm. It supports distances up to 10 km or 6.2 miles over single-mode and 550 m or 1804 ft over multimode with a mode-conditioning patch cord. Managed and unmanaged operation modes are available.

LC Fibre Interface and Distance Options

The LC connector enables direct connection to standard single-mode or multimode fibre patch cables. Single-mode reach extends to 10 km without intermediate equipment. Multimode reach reaches 550 m when a mode-conditioning patch cord is used. The RJ-45 copper port covers 100 m or 328 ft.
