The Perle CM-100MM-S2LC20 is a managed Fast Ethernet fiber-to-fiber converter module. It translates 100BASE-FX 1310 nm multimode signals on an LC interface to 100BASE-LX 1310 nm single-mode signals on an LC interface. Network engineers use it to extend links between multimode and single-mode infrastructure.

Multimode to Single-Mode Reach

The multimode side operates at 1310 nm with a 2 km reach over 1.2 miles. The single-mode side operates at the same wavelength with a 20 km reach over 12.4 miles. Dual LC connectors allow direct patching into existing patch panels or switches without adapters. Managed or unmanaged operation modes suit different monitoring policies.
