The Perle CM-110-M2LC2 is a managed media converter module designed for network administrators who need to extend copper Ethernet links over fibre. It bridges 10/100Base-TX connections to 100BASE-FX multimode fibre using an LC connector. The unit supports both managed and unmanaged operation for flexible deployment. It is not intended for Gigabit or 10 Gigabit network segments.

Copper to Fibre Distance Coverage

The RJ-45 copper port reaches up to 100 metres while the 1310nm multimode fibre port extends the link to 2 kilometres or 1.2 miles. Maximum frame size is limited to 2048 bytes. This converter handles standard Fast Ethernet traffic but cannot accommodate jumbo frames or higher bandwidth applications. It is not for networks requiring longer single-mode fibre runs.
