  • DRGB illumination syncs with motherboard RGB software

Three 140 mm reverse-airflow fans

This three-pack supplies white 140 mm case fans with 30 mm thick frames and fluid-dynamic bearings. They target builders who want high static pressure for radiators or restrictive mesh without losing visible blade lighting. The reverse-airflow design keeps the illuminated blades facing the interior while pulling or pushing air as needed.

Daisy-chain linking and mixed screw kit

Twelve fan screws, twelve UNC 6-32 radiator screws and twelve M4 radiator screws cover standard and radiator mounts. Two corner-clip cables, six corner clips, two bridge clips and two bridge connectors let multiple fans share a single PWM and DRGB header. Eight screw-cover corners and four screw-cover bridges hide fasteners. A DRGB motherboard adapter connects the 5 V addressable signal to compatible boards.

Straightforward install with one cable catch

The 4-pin PWM connector and 3-pin 5 V DRGB plug fit standard headers; the daisy-chain parts click together without tools. Radiator mounting uses the longer 36 mm screws, while case mounting uses the shorter fan screws. The only common snag is routing the combined cable bundle cleanly when all three fans are linked in series.

Questions about this item

Will the fluid-dynamic bearing in these three 140 mm fans need replacement after a certain number of hours?

The fluid-dynamic bearing is designed for long continuous operation; Phanteks does not publish a specific service-life hour rating.

At 1800 RPM the fans deliver 71.76 CFM — what stops them from pushing more air in a restrictive radiator setup?

The 30 mm thick frame and blade geometry create the static pressure ceiling; beyond 1800 RPM the motor cannot overcome the added restriction.

Running all three fans at full speed all day, what noise and heat should I expect from the 4-pin PWM headers?

Maximum noise is 32.1 dB(A) per fan at 1800 RPM; PWM control lets the motherboard lower speed and noise when full airflow isn’t needed.
