Phenyx Pro Mini XLR Microphone

The Phenyx Pro Mini XLR Lapel/Headset Microphone combines a unidirectional condenser capsule with a 1.2m cable and removable windscreen. It connects via a 3-pin mini XLR plug to compatible wireless bodypack systems. The metal clip and wired boom are built for durability during regular speaking or performance use.

Suits speakers needing hands-free wireless audio

Presenters, instructors and performers who want a lightweight mic that plugs into a mini XLR bodypack will find this model practical. It is not intended for users who require a standalone USB microphone, a different connector type, or a microphone with an integrated wireless transmitter.

Handles speech and vocal pickup up to 130 dB SPL

The capsule delivers a 20 Hz to 20 kHz frequency response with -44 dB sensitivity and 2 kOhm output impedance, powered by 1.5 V to 10 V DC. It provides clear capture for voice applications, while extremely loud sources beyond the maximum SPL or very low-level signals may exceed its comfortable operating range.

Questions about this item

Which wireless bodypacks can I plug this 3-pin mini XLR microphone into?

The 3-pin mini XLR connector works with Phenyx Pro PTU-5000 and PTU-4000 bodypacks, plus Samson, AKG and other systems that use the same jack.

Will the 1.2 m cable reach from a belt-worn transmitter to my collar without pulling?

At 1.2 metres the cable gives enough slack for a belt pack to a lapel or headset position on an average adult without tension.

How can I confirm the capsule is picking up my voice cleanly after I connect it?

Speak at normal level; the unidirectional condenser should give clear, robust sound with minimal background noise and no static when the windscreen is fitted.
