Vocal Microphone with Cardioid Pattern

The Phenyx Pro PM-25S is a dynamic handheld microphone built for singers, speakers and karaoke users who need a wired XLR connection. Its cardioid polar pattern focuses on the voice while reducing background noise, and the integrated on/off switch allows instant muting during pauses.

XLR Interface Requires External Preamp

The microphone terminates in a male XLR connector and ships with a 16.4 ft cable, so it must be plugged into a mixer, audio interface or PA system that provides microphone preamplification. No USB output or phantom power option is present, limiting direct connection to computers without additional hardware.

Sensitivity of -50±2dB at 260 Ohms

With a rated sensitivity of -50±2dB and a low impedance of 260 ohms, the PM-25S delivers a strong signal that works well even with lower-gain preamps. Buyers whose equipment cannot supply sufficient gain for quieter microphones will benefit from this higher output level.

Questions about this item

Is the PM-25S sold in any other configuration besides the one with the 16.4 ft XLR cable, clip and storage bag?

The supplier lists only the PM-25S package that includes the 16.4 ft XLR cable, mic clip and storage bag; no alternative bundles or standalone versions are mentioned.

What does the -50±2dB sensitivity and 260 ohm impedance mean for my mixer or interface gain settings?

The -50±2dB sensitivity and low 260 ohm impedance give a higher output signal, so you need less gain on your mixer or interface to reach a full, clear level.

What does the XLR connector require on the receiving device?

The XLR connector plugs into any standard three-pin XLR input found on mixers, audio interfaces and PA systems.
