Philips Advance 4-lamp fluorescent ballast

This electronic ballast operates three or four T8 or T8U fluorescent lamps at 120 to 277 volts AC. It is designed for commercial and institutional fixtures that require rapid-start operation without dimming capability.

Supported lamp wattages

Each connected lamp can be 17, 25, 28, 30 or 32 watts, with the ballast rated for a total input of 110 watts across all four channels. Using lamps outside this wattage range will prevent correct ignition and may damage the unit.

Thermal and electrical behaviour

The ballast starts reliably down to 0 degrees Fahrenheit and runs without audible dimming circuitry. Power draw scales with the installed lamp combination, and the aluminium housing dissipates heat passively in normal ceiling-mounted installations.
