Recessed downlight with colour control

The Philips Hue 578450 is a 5/6-inch recessed downlight that delivers white ambiance and 16 million colours through integrated LEDs. It fits standard E26 sockets using the included adapter and connects via Bluetooth 5 for immediate control of up to 10 lights in one room. A Hue Bridge unlocks automations and out-of-home access.

Suits Bluetooth-first homes.

This downlight suits households that want colour-changing smart light in a single room without extra hardware. Renters or owners who prefer app-free voice control through Alexa, Google Assistant or Apple HomeKit will need the separate Bridge. Buyers needing co-ordinated scenes across multiple rooms or remote access should plan for that additional purchase.

E26 socket compatibility decides fit

The supplied E26 adapter allows installation in medium-base recessed cans, which is the sole mechanical requirement for this fixture. If the existing housing uses a different socket type or lacks sufficient depth for the integrated driver, the downlight cannot be mounted. Verify the socket before purchase.
