Will the LP-700 lamp module fit my Hitachi 55VF820 rear-projection TV?
Yes, the LP-700 is listed as compatible with the 55VF820 as well as the 50VF820, 60VF820, 50VG825, 55VG825, 60VG825, 50VS810A and 60VS810A models.
What is the correct way to install the LP-700 lamp, and what step do people often miss?
Power off and unplug the TV, wait for the lamp to cool, remove the lamp cover, unscrew the old housing, insert the new LP-700 housing, tighten the screws, replace the cover, then reset the lamp timer in the menu so the TV tracks the new 6000-hour life.
When will I need to replace the LP-700 lamp again?
The lamp is rated for 6000 hours of use; after that the brightness will drop and you should install a new LP-700 module to restore full output.
