Philips MSR Gold 700/2 MiniFastFit Lamp

The Philips MSR Gold 700/2 MiniFastFit is a 700W AC entertainment lamp built for touring, stage, studio and event fixtures. It serves as a direct replacement for the Fine Art Fine I 700E Spot, delivering high-output white light for professional production environments.

FastFit design with gold-plated caps and PGJX50 base

The MiniFastFit construction enables quick lamp changes when service time is critical, while gold-plated caps improve heat protection to reduce early failure. A PGJX50 cap-base secures the lamp in compatible fixtures, and P3 technology supports universal operating position plus higher temperature operation for consistent output.

Replaces spent 700W MSR lamps in PGJX50 fixtures

This unit restores 46000 lumens at 7500K with CRI 73, matching the original intensity and color quality of a fresh lamp. The rated life reaches 750 hours to 50% failures at 10.2A nominal current, and dimmable operation is supported. It is not for fixtures using a different base type or wattage, nor for buyers needing a non-dimmable source.

Questions about this item

What output does the 700 W MSR Gold 700/2 MiniFastFit lamp produce at 7500 K?

It delivers 46,000 lumens with a CRI of 73, giving a strong white beam for stage and studio use.

Which base type is required for the PGJX50 cap on this 700 W lamp?

The lamp uses a PGJX50 cap-base, so the fixture must accept that exact base for proper fit and electrical contact.

How is the FastFit design used during replacement, and what step is often missed?

Align the gold-plated pins with the PGJX50 socket and push until the latch clicks; forgetting to seat the latch fully can cause poor contact and early failure.
