High-output 700W entertainment lamp

The Philips MSR Gold 700/2 MiniFastFit is a 700W AC discharge lamp built for touring, stage, studio and event fixtures that require fast serviceability and reliable white light. It targets lighting technicians and venue operators who need a direct replacement for fixtures using the PGJX50 base.

Sustained output with P3 technology

P3 technology allows universal operating position and higher temperature operation, helping the lamp maintain consistent output over its rated life. The design supports dimmable operation at 10.2A nominal current, so intensity can be adjusted without sacrificing stability during long shows.

Replaces PGJX50-based 700W lamps

This lamp serves as a direct replacement for entertainment fixtures that use the PGJX50 cap-base and a 700W MSR Gold source. The jump is worth it when fast lamp changes matter — the MiniFastFit design reduces service time — and when gold-plated caps are preferred for heat protection. It is not for fixtures that require a different base, a different wattage or a non-dimmable source.

How much heat and power does the 700 W MSR Gold 700/2 lamp draw when run continuously in a fixture?

The lamp operates at 700 W with a nominal current of 10.2 A, producing 46 000 lumens at 7500 K; P3 technology allows universal positioning and higher temperature operation for consistent output over its 750-hour rated life.

What fixture base and electrical supply does the PGJX50-capped MSR Gold 700/2 require to operate?

It needs a fixture with a PGJX50 cap-base that can supply 700 W AC at 10.2 A lamp current; the gold-plated caps and FastFit design are built for quick replacement in compatible entertainment movers.

Will the 7500 K, CRI 73 output of this 700 W lamp match older MSR Gold lamps I keep as spares?

Yes — each MSR Gold 700/2 MiniFastFit delivers 46 000 lumens at 7500 K with CRI 73, so color and intensity stay consistent when mixing new and older lamps of the same type in the same rig.
