Replacement Lamp for PROEL Arrow Compact 700 Spot

The Philips MSR Gold 700/2 MiniFastFit lamp serves as a direct replacement for the PROEL Arrow Compact 700 Spot fixture. It is built for touring, stage, studio and event lighting where consistent output and fast service matter. The PGJX50 cap-base matches the original fixture requirement. Operators who need a different base or a lower-wattage source should look elsewhere.

Thermal Performance and Electrical Draw

Gold-plated caps provide superior heat protection to help reduce premature failure during extended runs. P3 technology supports universal operating position and higher temperature operation, helping maintain consistent output over the lamp life. The lamp draws a nominal current of 10.2A at 700W AC. Buyers needing a lamp rated for lower current or a different thermal envelope cannot use this model.

Integration and Service Benefits

The FastFit design enables quick lamp replacement when every minute matters during shows or changeovers. Dimmable operation allows intensity control without swapping fixtures. Rated life reaches 750 hours to 50% failures, delivering 46,000 lumens at 7500K with CRI 73. Builds that require a longer rated life or a non-dimmable source will not be served by this lamp.

Questions about this item

How do I install the PGJX50 base lamp in the PROEL Arrow Compact 700 Spot, and what step is often missed?

Align the PGJX50 pins with the socket, push straight in until the lamp seats fully, then secure the retaining clip; the step often missed is locking the clip, which can cause the lamp to lose contact under vibration.

What maintenance or replacement will the MSR Gold 700/2 MiniFastFit need later?

The lamp is rated for 750 hours to 50% failures; plan to replace it once output drops noticeably or at the rated hours, and inspect the gold-plated caps for oxidation during each change.

What limit appears first during sustained use of this 700W lamp?

The 750-hour rated life to 50% failures is the first hard limit; beyond that, lumen maintenance falls and the risk of premature failure rises sharply.
