Compact 60% Layout

The Philips V800 is a 60% wired gaming keyboard built for users who need a minimal footprint on the desk. Its ultra-compact form removes the number pad and function row to save space at home, in the office or while travelling. The layout suits gamers and typists who prefer a smaller board without extra keys.

Plug-and-Play USB Install

Installation requires a single USB port and works without extra software on Windows 98 or later and Mac OS. The wired Type-C cable provides stable data transmission and the board is USB powered. The detachable cable design eases routing, though the low-profile case has no adjustable feet for tilt.

Tactile Membrane Switches

The decisive spec is the tactile membrane key switch, which delivers a mechanical feel with a shorter travel than true mechanical switches. Double-shot keycaps allow the per-key RGB backlight to shine through characters. Buyers who want genuine mechanical switches or hot-swappable sockets should look elsewhere.

Questions about this item

How do I confirm the RGB backlight is functioning after plugging in the USB cable?

The keyboard lights up immediately on USB power; cycle through the 6 backlight effects and 8 colours using the documented key combinations to verify every zone responds.

What comes in the box and what must I supply separately?

The package contains the 60% keyboard with its attached USB Type-C cable; no extra accessories are included, so have a free USB port ready on the host device.

Which version should I pick if I want the updated transparent middle frame and double-shot keycaps?

The current revision already ships with the transparent middle frame, relocated ESC key and double-colour injection-moulded keycaps described in the latest improvements.
