Philips WFL900/H White 3.5 mm Headset

The Philips WFL900/H is a white on-ear headset built around a 3.5 mm jack and 50 mm neodymium drivers. It targets gamers who want a single wired headset for PS4, PS5, Xbox One, PC, Mac or laptop without relying on USB or wireless pairing. The 380 g frame and protein earpads aim to keep pressure low during extended sessions.

Inline knob mute switch and rotatable mic

A volume knob and one-touch microphone mute button sit on the earcup so adjustments happen without hunting for an in-line remote. The boom microphone rotates through 360° to find the optimal distance from the mouth, while passive noise cancellation and the claimed active noise cancellation work together to reduce background sound pick-up during chat.

3.5 mm analogue limit and Xbox adapter gap

The 3.5 mm analogue connection carries stereo audio only; no digital surround processing or virtual 7.1 is provided by the headset itself. Older Xbox One controllers lack a 3.5 mm port, so a separate Microsoft adapter — not supplied — is required for those pads. Users needing USB audio, wireless freedom or a detachable cable will not find those features here.

Questions about this item

Will the 50 mm drivers need replacement after long-term use?

The 50 mm neodymium drivers are built into the headset and are not user-serviceable; if they fail the entire unit would need replacing.

What limits comfort during extended sessions with the 380 g weight?

The on-ear fit and protein pads distribute the 380 g load, but clamping force and ear-cup pressure become noticeable before weight does.

Does the inline volume knob and mute switch add heat or noise during all-day use?

The passive controls draw no power and generate no heat or noise; the headset remains silent and cool during continuous operation.
