Ultra-thin pillow speakers for side sleepers

These Philips WFL900/H speakers measure just 3mm thick and connect via a 3.5mm stereo plug. They are designed to fit inside a headband or under a pillow so you can listen in bed without the discomfort of regular earbuds pressing against your ear when lying on your side.

Wired 3.5mm connection limits wireless freedom

The 3.5mm analogue interface means the speakers draw no battery power and work with any device that has a standard headphone jack. However, the fixed cable prevents use with phones that lack a 3.5mm port unless you add a separate adapter, and it tethers you to the playback device.

Check your headband pocket size and device jack

Before ordering, confirm that your sleep headband has speaker pockets wide enough to hold the ultra-thin units. Also verify that your phone, tablet or TV still provides a 3.5mm output, because many newer models require a dongle that is not included.

Questions about this item

Should I pick the 3.5 mm wired version or a wireless model?

This model uses a 3.5 mm stereo plug for direct wired connection; no wireless option is offered for the WFL900/H.

What does the 5 Hz – 16 kHz frequency response mean when the speakers are inside a pillow?

The range covers deep bass to high treble, so music and voice stay clear even with the speakers tucked under a pillow.

What does the 3.5 mm connector cap in practice?

The 3.5 mm stereo plug works with any device that has a standard headphone jack, limiting use to wired playback only.
