An in-line volume control allows quick adjustment without reaching for the source device. A built-in amplifier can be switched on to boost output or bypassed for direct passive operation.

Sustained Output with Battery Amplifier

The internal amplifier delivers a typical 30 mW into the 16 ohm driver when powered by a single AAA battery. With the amplifier switched off the speaker handles a maximum input of 50 mW directly from the source. Frequency response spans 100 Hz to 20 kHz at an input sensitivity of 500 mVrms. The amplifier is intended only for headphone-level outputs; connecting it to a speaker-level output will cause damage.

Wired 3.5 mm Connection Limits

A fixed 2 metre stereo cable with a 3.5 mm plug provides the only input path. The 200 ohm input impedance suits typical portable headphone outputs.
