Pair of 2.5 lb Rubber Coated Olympic Grip Weight

This pair of 2.5 lb rubber coated Olympic grip weight plates is designed for versatile home gym use. Each plate weighs 2.5 lbs and features a durable 100% natural rubber coating that protects floors and resists rust. The stainless-steel flange ring with two stainless steel inserts ensures compatibility with most 2-inch Olympic barbells and curl bars. A secure grip design allows for safe handling during strength, balance, and flexibility training.

Ideal for Home Gym Owners Adding Incremental Load

These plates suit fitness enthusiasts at any level who want to add small weight increments to existing Olympic bars for progressive overload. They are not suited for lifters who need heavier plates for maximal strength work or buyers who require a full set of varying weights to start training. The 2.5 lb size is specific for fine adjustments rather than heavy loading.

2-Inch Olympic Sleeve Compatibility

The defining specification is the stainless-steel flange ring with dual inserts built for 2-inch Olympic sleeves. This fitment decides whether the plates work with your current barbell or curl bar. If your equipment uses a different sleeve diameter, these plates will not mount securely.

Questions about this item

The plates have 2‑inch stainless‑steel inserts, so they require a 2‑inch Olympic barbell or curl bar.

Will the rubber coating protect my existing iron plates if I stack them together?

Yes, the 100% natural rubber coating cushions contact and helps prevent damage to other plates and flooring.

How can I confirm the pair weighs 5 lb total once they are on the bar?
