Smartphone Camera Grip

The Pictar Smart Grip attaches to most iPhones and leading Android models and connects through a dedicated app. Its ergonomic, slip-free design lets you hold the phone firmly with one hand in either orientation and even operate the shutter while wearing gloves.

Build Integration

A standard 1/4-20 tripod socket and a cold-shoe mount let you add a tripod, light or microphone without extra adapters. The patented sound-frequency interface controls the camera without a conventional Bluetooth link, reducing battery drain on the phone during long shoots.

Upgrade Path

The grip replaces on-screen touch controls with five physical inputs: a multi-state shutter button, zoom ring, selfie button, exposure compensation wheel and a programmable smart wheel. Photographers who miss the tactile feel of a traditional camera and want 20 pre-set shooting modes will benefit most; buyers who need wireless triggering from a distance or a built-in power bank should look elsewhere.
