What the product is

The Pilot G2 31020 is a retractable rollerball gel pen with a 0.7 mm tip that delivers black ink. The pack contains 12 pens built with a contoured rubber grip and refillable barrels for extended use.

Who it suits and who should look elsewhere

Students, office workers and hobbyists who want smooth, quick-drying lines for notes, journals or sketches will appreciate the fine point and archival-safe ink. Buyers who need a broader stroke or multiple ink colours in a single purchase should consider other options.

Behaviour under sustained use

The long-lasting gel formula is designed to write further before a refill is needed, and the rubber grip reduces fatigue during lengthy sessions. Quick-drying ink resists smudges even when pages are turned rapidly, keeping output clean over extended periods.

Questions about this item

Does the 12-pack include refills or must I buy Pilot G2 refills separately?

The pack contains twelve complete pens; refills are sold separately and fit the same G2 barrel.

Will the 0.7 mm tip write cleanly on the same paper I use with older ballpoints?

Yes, the quick-drying gel ink resists smudges on standard office paper and the fine point matches typical ballpoint line width.

How can I confirm the ink is archival-safe and acid-free after I start writing?

The manufacturer states the black ink is fade-resistant and acid-free; written lines remain sharp without yellowing over time.
