Pilot G2 Premium Gel Roller Pen 0.7 mm

The Pilot G2 Premium Gel Roller Pen uses a 0.7 mm fine point to lay down smooth blue gel ink for everyday writing. Each pen in the pack of five is retractable and refillable, so the barrel can be reused with compatible G2 refills. The contoured rubber grip supports comfort during extended note-taking or journaling sessions. Quick-drying ink reduces smudges for left- and right-handed writers alike.

Refillable gel pen limits

Refills are sold separately and must match the G2 form factor; the barrel does not accept Parker-style or other proprietary refills. Gel ink can feather on very low-quality or highly absorbent paper, so performance varies with the sheet used. The 0.7 mm tip is not suited for ultra-fine technical drawing or micro-handwriting that demands a smaller ball diameter. Ink flow may slow in extreme cold or after long periods without use.

Upgrading from disposable stick pens

Writers who currently use single-use ballpoint sticks gain a reusable barrel that cuts plastic waste and a smoother gel flow that requires less pressure. The jump is worth it when daily writing volume makes refill cost lower than buying new disposable pens over time. Buyers who need archival-grade pigment ink, waterproof lines, or a metal-bodied pen for heavy field use will not find those features here.

Questions about this item

Should I pick the .7 mm fine point or look for a different tip size?

The .7 mm fine point gives crisp, clean lines for everyday writing, notes and doodling; other point sizes such as ultra-fine, extra-fine and bold are sold separately if you prefer a thinner or thicker line.

What does the quick-drying gel ink actually do on paper?

The gel ink glides smoothly and dries fast, helping prevent smudges and smears during long writing sessions, and Pilot data on file shows it lasts longer than other gel inks so you refill less often.

Which refill standard fits this pen when the ink runs out?

It takes Pilot G2 refills, which also work in G6, Dr. Grip Gel, G-knock, B2P Gel and MR Gel Roller bodies, so you can keep the same barrel and reduce waste.
